Highlights Along the Ring Road
Seljalandsfoss and Skógafoss Waterfalls Located in the south, these two waterfalls are among Iceland’s most photographed natural wonders. Seljalandsfoss is unique because visitors can walk behind the cascading water, offering a rare perspective. Skógafoss is equally impressive, with its frequent rainbows and powerful flow.
Vík and Reynisfjara Beach
The village of Vík is famous for its black sand beaches and the striking Reynisdrangar sea stacks. Nature lovers should visit Reynisfjara Beach, whose location is close by and has basalt columns and strong waves.
Jökulsárlón Glacier Lagoon
Situated in the southeast, this glacial lagoon is filled with floating icebergs, creating a surreal and tranquil scene. Nearby, the Diamond Beach showcases ice chunks washed ashore, sparkling like diamonds on the black sand.
